Commitment to Safety

At Alabama Night Ops, the safety and well-being of our youth participants (ages 11-18) is our top priority. We follow the strict safety guidelines set forth by Trail Life USA and American Heritage Girls to ensure a fun and secure environment for all our events.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Trained and Certified Adult Leadership: All events will have a sufficient number of registered adults (Trail Life USA: Registered Adult, American Heritage Girls: Troop Leader) who have undergone background checks and completed youth protection training as mandated by their respective organizations.
  • Safe Adult-to-Youth Ratios: We maintain the recommended adult-to-youth ratios established by Trail Life USA and American Heritage Girls for each activity. This ensures close supervision and allows for immediate response to any situation.
  • Emergency Medical Care: We will have EMTs on-site at all events with access to emergency services. In the case of an accident or injury, qualified medical personnel will be readily available.
  • Permission Slips & Medical Information: A permission slip with emergency contact information and any relevant medical history will be required for each participant. This ensures we have all necessary information on hand in case of an emergency.
  • Activity-Specific Planning: Each event will have a detailed plan outlining potential risks and safety procedures specific to the activity. Leaders will be briefed on the plan beforehand.
  • Open Communication: We encourage open communication between participants, leaders, and parents. If you or your child has any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Following Trail Life USA & American Heritage Girls guidelines, some events may also include:

  • Safety Briefings: Participants will receive age-appropriate safety briefings before the start of the event, outlining potential hazards and expected behavior.
  • Buddy System: In some instances, a buddy system may be implemented where participants are paired with another youth member for added supervision and accountability.
  • Risk Assessments: Event locations will be assessed beforehand to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.

Our Commitment:

We are committed to providing a safe and enriching environment for all our youth participants. By following these comprehensive safety policies, we can ensure that everyone has a positive and enjoyable experience at our events.

We look forward to a safe and fun event!
